The Plant Fossils section at the University of Nigeria Herbarium (UNN) is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and study of plant fossils. As part of our extensive botanical collections, the Plant Fossils section provides a unique glimpse into the history of plant life on Earth, offering invaluable insights for paleobotanists, researchers, educators, and students.
As the largest herbarium in the Western Hemisphere,
the Steere Herbarium is a priceless resource for
scholars from around
the world who are documenting earth's biodiversity of plants and fungi. We focus on
building
collections in all groups and regions and in large scale digitization and rapid data entry.
